Annual General Meeting 2008

12th November 2008 at Bingley Rugby Club

The AGM was an informal and enjoyable event with opportunity for present volunteers to meet with each other and potential volunteers to see what Bradford Nightstop was about! Formal committee positions were elected and a brief report of the charity shared before getting to the heart of the matter with small group sessions where people were invited to discuss topics surrounding youth homelessness and the action of the charity and how this could be improved for young people and volunteers.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening, especially the buffet tea put on for us by the Rugby Club.

Several volunteers were awarded with 15 Year Contribution Certificates to thank them for their marvellous efforts and fantastic sustained work with the charity. Judy Shorney, who recently won a local "Superhero" award for her work founding Bradford Nightstop, Well Done Judy, spoke to us briefly about the charity's lowly beginnings in her garage!
