How our service operates

We aim to offer our overnight accommodation every night of the year.

1. You can go to any agency listed on the 'where can you go for help today' page should you find yourself with no where safe to stay.

2.The agency worker will help you to look for any appropriate accommodation in the district.  They may help you to fill in any necessary forms and make any arrangements for interviews you will need.

3.If there is no where for you to stay tonight, then the agency worker will ask you some questions to make sure that you are going to be safe on our scheme and that our scheme can cater for your needs.

4. The agency worker will call Bradford Nightstop.  You will be asked to agree to our Drug and Alcohol statement.

5. Hopefully a bed with one of our volunteers will be found for you.  Our hosts come from a variety of backgrounds.  Sometimes if we have no suitable hosts, we will offer you the use of our emergency room at the BCCP Hostel for the night.

6. You will be given the name and telephone number of the host you will be staying with.

7. You will be asked if you want to wait somewhere safely, for example, at a youth cafe.  A volunteer driver may be arranged for you, or you may need to go for a taxi at one of our pick up points.  We will ask you for your mobile telephone number.
