Feedback from Teachers
Over 100 visits were made last year and every teacher involved said that the session was suitable for their group and that the students had increased their understanding about youth homelessness.
The following are some of the comments recorded by teachers on their feedback forms:
"Mr McCann's approach gave them the opportunity to express their opinions."
"They could see that it could happen to kids not much older than them."
"Some of them didn't realise how hard it is to get housing or how easy it is to become homeless. I think they re-assessed after this session."

"It changed the students' ideas about who becomes homeless."
"They were held interested throughout."
"The speaker related well to the level of the pupils and engaged the class as a whole."

"Not only has the students' understanding increased - mine has as well. Many thanks!"
"The pupils gained a full understanding about the implications of homelessness. Hopefully it will make them think twice before leaving home."
"They had lots of assumptions, but they now know a lot more."
"A number of students who rarely contribute to discussions did so today."
