Without the generosity of funders like these we would not have been able to provide safe, warm overnight accommodation in the homes of our trained volunteers for the 422 young people who were referred to and used our service last year.
In 2008, a total of 718 referrals were made from young people who at the time when they made the referral had no place to stay that night. We offered a total of 579 beds, by arranging the stay with a trained volunteer host and organising the plan of travel for the young person and where they are returning to the following day.
Without your funding this could not happen and the young people who use our service may have had to sleep rough or in high risk accommodation unsuitable for their needs and situation.
